== Seeking Editor Review Commentary (If You Like) ==

Hi. In conjunction with my ] (that you voted on), I have created ], to give people a chance to comment as to ways in which I can branch out or alter my contributions to Misplaced Pages. An RfA seems to solely focus on how one's temperment and contributions relate to how they might handle administrative powers (and the consensus on that seems to be that I'm not quite ready); the editor review opens things up a little more to a larger focus, and I'd love to hear community feedback in the sense of that larger focus, too. If you feel you've already expressed yourself sufficiently when casting your vote, then by all means don't worry about it, but if any thoughts come to mind or if you'd like to expound upon any suggestions or commentary, it would be appreciated. In any case, I appreciated you taking the time to express your opinion on my RfA, and I thank you for that. &mdash; ] (]&nbsp;&bull;&nbsp;]) 19:54, 30 May 2006 (UTC)

== My rfa ==

If you are going to apoligize for voting maybe you should support me, I'm just kidding :P. There is no need to be sorry for opposing me, you have your right to oppose me, but thank you for doing so consturctively. ]] ( ]) 13:49, 31 May 2006 (UTC)

== The neverending chain of responses must be broken ==

<small>(note: this may seem like a nonsensical subject but it really isn't)</small> I've used the strikeout tag to strikeout most of my comments on the RFA (because I've been informed that comments shouldn't be removed on RFAs - if I'm wrong, I ask that you '''please do''' remove them). This was done against my better judgement, but I wanted this subject to be dropped quickly.

I hope that will bring a swift end to this matter. — <font colour="navy"><b>]] (])</b></font> 14:28, 31 May 2006 (UTC)

Additional comment: I made several attempts to do some damage control and removed a negative comment I made, as well as the struck-out comments. As I'm not sure of the rules regarding removing one's own comments from an RfA, I'll gracefully accept a warning (no matter how its worded) if this is considered vandalism. I'm sure you can understand my intentions - to remove comments that can serve no purpose other than to breed negative feelings. — <font colour="navy"><b>]] (])</b></font> 16:13, 31 May 2006 (UTC)

== Chanchu ==

I know you're a prolific contributor who's done a lot of good stuff on Misplaced Pages. So why this stubbornness with Macanese Patuá? If, say, Japan submitted a name, wouldn't you assume that it is from Japanese, the official language of Japan and the language of the vast majority of Japanese people? If the name actually does mean what it's supposed to mean in Japanese, wouldn't that simply be confirmation? When did Macau become so different?

I know this is tiring for everyone, and frankly I cannot believe that a simple edit on my part has bloated to such proportions... so please... I ask you of this, as a request from one Wikipedian to another... tell me what your reasoning is. -- ] (]) 23:43, 1 June 2006 (UTC)

We seem to have agreed substantively on the issue raised at ]. You noted, though, that ''anything ] and ] should be included''. While you are, as I noted as well, correct with respect to ] (with the caveat, of course, that the sourced and verifiable information ought to represent fairly and reasonably all revelant and notable points-of-view), I'm inclined to think that ] is relevant as well. That (to pick something at random) ] wears a 7 3/4-sized baseball cap is verifiable, but it's neither particularly notable nor otherwise inextricable to the subject, such that we'd properly term it cruft. This applied, IMHO, to the article at hand because, though verifiable and sourced, the specific details of the subject's airport misadventures are surely crufty. Thanks a lot for the input on my pending RFA. Whether or not I am approved by the community, I hope that I can learn from the constructive criticism that I'm given. Have a good day.--]] ]] 12:00, 6 June 2006 (UTC)

==Enquiry==

Hello! I have a minor enquiry to ask from you. I am wondering what is the correct format of numbering to use in Misplaced Pages titles. For example in the title heading ''Category:Wikipedians with 4000-5000 edits'', is it necessary to add a comma after a 4 digit number? Thus another version of the title would be ''Category:Wikipedians with '''4,000-5,000''' edits.'' What is the official view in this on Misplaced Pages? Thank You for helping me out. --<font style="background:gold">]]</font><font style="background:yellow">]</font> 02:59, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
:Well, I found the reference at last. It is in ] page under the section of ''3.1 numbers''. (Glad to point out something in Misplaced Pages that you are not sure of!) --<font style="background:gold">]]</font><font style="background:yellow">]</font> 03:42, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
::Thus I feel that for 4-digit numbers onwards, it would be appropriate to add a comma. --<font style="background:gold">]]</font><font style="background:yellow">]</font> 03:44, 7 June 2006 (UTC)

Hey. After you blocked ], ] etc., I noticed that their "WikiProject", ] has not been deleted but serves no purpose as all users have been blocked and the project was quite pointless to start with. Is there some history I don\'t know about here? This user made one vandalous edit, the 13th. A sock? Probably given the second edit. But indef blocking with no warnings given for a single instance of petty vandalism to FreplySpang\'s user page seems excessive. In case you\'re wondering why I\'m asking about this, I stumbled accross ] and read the talk page while NP patrolling. I wanted to see what editor had left it as a work in progress and discovered that they had been blocked after a thirteen edits? This username made a dozen non-vandalous edits prior. What am I missing?&mdash;]&bull;] 06:38, 9 June 2006 (UTC)

Revision as of 10:20, 17 June 2006

I am taking an extended wikibreak, but will continue to make various minor edits, especially to articles I normally work on. Any comments about this break should be directed to User talk:NSLE/Wikibreak. I may return at some point, and if Misplaced Pages gets better, I will definitely return. If I haven't made any major edits in two to three weeks, it would then be safe to assume I have left. One more request is that my talk page is not edited except for non-wikibreak matters - like if you see me editing too much - please drop me a note to remind me to STOP! Cheers, NSLE 09:34, 11 June 2006 (UTC)

I substantially refactored Kimchi.sg's RfA ; as a result, your rationale has lost some of its context. Mackensen (talk) 02:20, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
