Kimi ga yo ha

Chiyo ni yachiyo ni
Kimi ga yo ha /
Sazare ishino iwa oto narite
Chiyo ni yachiyo ni /
Koke no musu made
Sazare ishi no iwaoto narite/
Kokeno musu made

This lyric's style comes from Waka, the Japan's original style of poem. This lyric shows patriotic feeling toward emperor by saying "may your country thrive for ever and ever".

There is a theory that this lyric was once a love poem.
