Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire (ポケットモンスター オメガルビー&アルファサファイア, Poketto Monsutā Omega Rubī & Arufa Safaia) are enhanced remakes for the Nintendo 3DS of the 2002 video games Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire for the Game Boy Advance.

Gameplay

According to Nintendo, each of the titles will be a "new adventure" taking place in a "spectacular new world".

Development

Fans had been speculating about remakes of Ruby and Sapphire for years, most notably seeing references to the games and their region, Hoenn, in the 2013 predecessors Pokémon X and Y.

Nintendo confirmed the remakes in a press release on May 7, 2014. The games will be released worldwide in November 2014. The games have also been confirmed on the official Pokémon website.
