Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire (ポケットモンスター オメガルビー&アルファサファイア, Poketto Monsutā Omega Rubī & Arufa Safaia) are two video games slated for release for the Nintendo 3DS handheld game console. They are highly speculated to be remakes of the 2002 (Japan)/2003 (worldwide) Game Boy Advance video games Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire. The games were revealed on May 7, 2014, in a teaser trailer released by Nintendo.
Development
Nintendo announced the games in a press release on May 7, 2014. Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will be released worldwide in November 2014. The only detailed information given is that the new games will "take the players through a dramatic story within a spectacular new world".
