This is the complete episode listing for all the animation produced for Air based on the visual novel. The series consists of 13 episodes.

Air first aired on BS-i on January 6 2005 with the episode "Breeze", and concluded on March 31 2005 with the recap episode.

At the end of episode thirteen of the Air anime, there was a teaser for a special addendum to the series, entitled Air in Summer. The two episodes aired on August 28 and September 4 respectively on BS-i. A DVD was later released on October 5 in Japan.

A 91 minute movie titled Air, which was more of a parallel universe compared to the anime and visual novel plot, premiered in Japan on February 5 2005.

Movie (2005)

Air the movie is a reinterpretation of the Air storyline by director Dezaki Osamu, and is more of a "parallel universe" when compared to the anime/game storyline. It is unrelated to the Air TV series.

The movie opens with Yukito Kunisaki, a travelling pupeteer, arriving in the town of Kami in the hopes of earning money at the upcoming festival. At the same time Misuzu Kamio is just leaving school after discussing her summer project with one of her teachers. Choosing to do a project on the history of the town, Misuzu finds a book containing the story of Kannabi no Mikoto, the inspiration for the upcoming festival. After meeting and befriending Yukito on the beach and crashes her bike, Misuzu invites Yukito to stay at her home until the festival after learning that he has no place to stay.

As the two become closer the story of the Kannabi no Mikoto begins to unfold, telling of how Kanna, the last of the winged beings, fell in love with her guardian Ryūya while being sequestered in a palace under penalty of death if she attempted to leave.
