I'd like to thank many of you for your kindnesses to me while I have participated in Misplaced Pages. This is a harsh place, where the stakes are low and the tempers run high. I don't think I can do it anymore, and the recent snide, snobbish, and downright nasty comments I have had to take without being able to defend myself as I see fit have taken their toll. | |||
The straw that broke this camel's back is the impending elevation of Jeff Raymond (User:Badlydrawnjeff) to administrator status. I've been able to put up with a lot here, but that is not something I will condone by staying. My principles demand that I leave in protest. Avete atque valete. --Brian G. Crawford |

A comment from JzG: Please do not troll or bait Brian on this page or anywhere else. Bear in mind that sometimes editors have things going on in their lives which makes it hard for them to see the funny side. Keep it neutral and factual. Thank you. Just zis Guy you know? 09:30, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
Please read this before posting:
1) Do you have a problem with one of my edits? You may, since I tend to edit boldly and mercilessly.
2) Please do not quote basic policy to me. It's rude. I've been around here long enough to know what's going on. I follow policy to the best of my ability.
3) I can't do anything on Misplaced Pages that can't be undone. Please remember that before getting overly critical or hysterical.
4) I do a lot more reading on Misplaced Pages than contributing. As such, I like to edit to make articles more accessible to readers. As Joe Dirt said, "It's not what you like, it's the consumer."
5) Don't talk about me in the third person. I'm right here.
Thanks for your cooperation. I will respond to comments on this page. Personal attacks will be responded to automatically by a doomsday device which I am not able to shut down or control. Your computer will be destroyed by a virus of biblical proportions as soon as an attack is detected. You have been warned.

Brian, I've archived out some trolling and other stuff. I have also posted a header. I hope this is OK, I also hope you can keep calm. send diatribes to me via email rather than postign them to Misplaced Pages, maybe? To everyone, please cut Brian a bit of slack and do not troll - any trolling will likely result in a block. Just zis Guy you know? 09:31, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
Many thanks, Guy. Brian G. Crawford 09:32, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
