The repercussions of the bus crash arrive with Jessie Doyle, the daughter of Ed Doyle, the bus driver. She wants ] to prove her father did not commit suicide by driving off the cliff deliberately in order to clear his name, and receive his life insurance. Veronica is able to do this, discovering that Doyle's 'suicide note' was actually a note of his plans to leave his seemingly erratic wife. However, the incompetent Sheriff doesn't care and make's no effort to reopen the case. ] also meets ], the spoiled new girl, whose father is ]. After someone hits Jackie's father's car in the school parking lot, Wallace, using the sleuth skills he's learned from Veronica, discovers that the perpetrator was a journalist going undercover as a student in order to get information about the crash. | |||
