Carmel Moore (born 19 June 1985) is a British former pornographic actress. of mixed English and Iranian origin. She performed under the names Carmel Moore, Nasrin Carmel Moore and Nasrin.

Career

In 2005 at age 20, under the name of Nasrin, she started glamour modelling in the United Kingdom as a brunette, and performing in solo girl scenes. In 2006 she started performing in lesbian scenes. In 2006, under the name of Carmel Moore, she travelled to the USA to undertake a series of bookings for adult film production companies where she performed in hardcore scenes for the first time. In 2007 she continued to work in the adult film industry in both the UK and the USA. In the UK she started to use the name Nasrin Carmel Moore instead of Nasrin, before dropping all references to Nasrin so that she was known as Carmel Moore worldwide.

Carmel Moore continued to work in the adult industry on both sides of the Atlantic until 2011 when she announced her retirement from the business.

Mainstream appearance

In 2007, she had a small role in the mockumentary Finishing the Game.

Awards and recognition

She was named "Best Female Actress" at the 2007 UK Adult Film and Television Awards for her role in the film Hug a Hoodie. The film was directed by Anna Span who wanted to present a sympathetic image of the Young offender. British Conservative Party Leader David Cameron had taken a tough line on youth offenders but in July 2006 gave a sympathetic speech that was dubbed by the News of the World as "Hug a Hoodie". The phrase came into popular use in the UK despite Cameron insisting that he did not use it.
