A woman is an adult, female human. When people talk about women, they may be using the word in terms of sex, or in terms of gender roles, or both.

In terms of sex, somen have sexual characteristics that differentiates them from men. Some women are able to bear children, which is the subject of obstetrics. The subject of female reproduction and reproductive organs is called gynecology.

In terms of gender, women differ from men by a wide variety of behaviours. In modern western society, more women than men wear cosmetics and clothing such as dresses, skirts, and high heels. They often use these devices to manipulate men and get otherwise undeserved attention. Their limited cognitive ability is used mostly for the purpose of deception, shopping and a vast range of other trivialities. They bleed periodicaly, naturally as well as when they get some good beating - to stop the bleeding, use tampons. After the age of 30 they lose their sexual appeal and possibility for manipulation. However, modern technology, including plastic surgery, has enabled women to hide their age for some time. Their skin is thinner than male skin and shows early signs of degradation which is not so easily hidden. If they do not concieve children by the age of 35, when their eggs almost die out, they become increasingly irritable. As mothers they are often abusive, beating their children far more often than fathers do, and in much more cruel ways - the main source of domestic violence are mothers, a fact which is rarely mentioned. In menopause their natural propensity for hysteria increases rapidly, and since by then they are almost always sexually repelling their presence is sometimes unberable. Their best bet is to coerce a male into supporting them in their young age, and they are very skilled in this, as it is their main purpose in life. They have no honesty or mercy and are generally selfish and unconsiderate, prone to hurt and causing more suicides among males than the overall murder rate and the war crime rate combined. However, law does not protect males from women's immorality any more in the western society, but instead penalizes men for failing to detect female tricks in time. Thus, males are doubly victimized, an unintended consequence of the excesses of Sexual revolution. Women are granted extended abortion rights to murder their children less than 365 days old in countries like Canada and Australia. Males have no vote in protecting their own children in this respect. The "affirmative action", popular in United States, discriminates against males shamelessly, and it is a big advantage to be a female today in many career fields, with required standards far lowered for women in order to meet the quotas.

The general study of women at universities is pursued under the heading "women's studies," though, presently, that study is closely associated with feminism, sometimes even radical feminism. The study of the social and economic differences between the sexes is also closely related.
