The Sind krait (Bungarus sindanus) is a species of krait, a venomous elapid snake found in Asia. Three subspecies are recognized. That may be confused with common krait and even with Indian rat snake.
Distribution
This snake is found in India & Pakistan. That is recorded in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar , Maharastra, West Bengal (Jalpaiguri & Midnapur District) ,Rajastan & Gujrat in India. The geographic ranges of the subspecies in Pakistan and India are:
- B. s. razai Khan, 1985 - N Pakistan
- B. s. sindanus Boulenger, 1897 - southern Pakistan, adjacent India; type locality: Sindh, West Pakistan
- B. s. walli Wall, 1907 - India; West Bengal(Jalpaiguri), Uttar Pradesh,Latur, Maharashtra India
