Hi Abdullah - looking at your editcount, I see that you have ~ 800 edits, close to 400 being to your own userspace. Userspace doesn't add anything to the encyclopedia. When users curious to learn of your contributions see this, they see you're not making any major contribution (even if you are).
You need to be more active across articles - that's the main field of work. Now if you have a book or special knowledge about something, use it to make one article an FA. That'll bring you to work with other people. Now its not your fault that Somalia-related topics are less frequented. Working on those subjects can be "lonely." But if you go for an FA, you'll get appreciation for your work.
You're young and enthusiastic, and that's good. But building this encyclopedia is mainly a lonely and thankless job. Users will come and go as their personal lives dictate. There are thousands who don't have barnstars that have done great work. Barnstars are a show that people across thousands of miles appreciate that you do, but the main purpose is to provide a limitless, reliable source of knowledge for all. Don't work for barnstars, work for knowledge. If you need any help with anything, lemme know. ] 16:56, 30 July 2006 (UTC) |
