Acid Rap is the second mixtape by American hip hop recording artist Chance the Rapper, originally released on April 30, 2013 as a free digital download. In early July 2013, the album debuted at number 63 on the BillboardTop R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, due to bootleg downloads on iTunes and Amazon not affiliated with the artist.
Acid Rap was met with universal acclaim from music critics. At Metacritic, the mixtape received an average score of 86, based on 21 critics, which indicates "universal acclaim". It was also nominated for Best Mixtape at the 2013 BET Hip Hop Awards. The mixtape was ranked at number 2 on SPIN Magazine's list and number 26 on Rolling Stone's list of the 50 best albums of 2013. It was the second most downloaded mixtape on MixtapeMonkey.com's most downloaded mixtapes ever. It was also ranked at number 12 on Pitchfork's Top 50 Albums of 2013.
"Good Ass Intro" contains a sample of "I'm Good Intro" performed by Kanye West featuring John Legend and contains an interpolation of the song "Faithful" performed by Common featuring Bilal and John Legend.
"Pusha Man" contains a hidden track titled "Paranoia" produced by Nosaj Thing and contains a sample of the song "Modaji" performed by Dave Grusin and contains an interpolation of "Pusherman" performed by Curtis Mayfield.
"Juice" contains a sample of the song "Jealous Guy" performed by Donny Hathaway.
"Lost" contains a sample of the song "Brother's Gonna Work It Out" performed by Willie Hutch, from the soundtrack for the film The Mack.
"Everybody's Something" contains a sample of the song "Fall in Love" performed by Slum Village which samples the songs "Diana in the Autumn Wind" performed by Gap Mangione and "Sorcerer of Isis" performed by Power of Zeus.
"NaNa" contains a sample of the song "Sucka Nigga" performed by A Tribe Called Quest which samples the song "Red Clay" performed by Freddie Hubbard.
"Chain Smoker" contains a sample of the song "Long Red" performed by Mountain.
"Everything's Good (Good Ass Outro)" contains a sample of the song "Cold" performed by Kanye West featuring DJ Khaled and an interpolation of the song "Juke Juke" performed by Chance the Rapper.
