Doctor Nefarious Tropy, commonly shortened to N. Tropy, is a fictional character from Crash Bandicoot. He is voiced by the British voice actor Michael Ensign in all his appearances except one, where he was voiced by Corey Burton.

His name is a play on the word "entropy".

Overview

Nefarious Tropy is the self-proclaimed master of time and quantum warp technology. He seems to be an acquaintance of Uka Uka, called upon by the latter to help take over the world in Crash Bandicoot: Warped. However, he tends to get frustrated and tired when he repeatedly misses his target, as evidenced when Crash battles N. Tropy. This flaw helps Crash defeat N. Tropy, sending his Time Twister machine into disarray. He was the third boss of the game.

N. Tropy later mastered the relic races in Crash Team Racing and later Crash Nitro Kart, whilst also helping Doctor Neo Cortex with his super weapon, Crunch Bandicoot. He caused mass havoc when he teamed up with hypno-master N. Trance but was thwarted once more.

N. Tropy's latest appearance was in Crash Twinsanity as the fifth boss alongside Doctor Nitrus Brio when they, using the vast resources from Doctor N. Gin's company, hunted for treasure. They were easily thwarted by Spyro the Dragon.

Trivia

  • Tropy is one of the few characters who wears armor the whole time.
  • In Crash Nitro Kart, he, Pura, and Fake Crash were the unlockable characters in the game who were never seen in the cutscenes.
