1990s

"1990s" does not have an apostrophe in it. Please read WP:MOS#Years and longer periods. -- Dr Greg  talk  19:16, 27 June 2015 (UTC)

Did you read this? -- Dr Greg  talk  19:56, 27 June 2015 (UTC)
Warning icon Please stop adding apostrophes to decades. The correct format is mentioned in the Manual of Style at the above link provided by Dr Greg, and also at MOS:DECADE. I have reverted changes you made recently to several articles; if there are any others I did not get to, please would you go back and undo those now. (If you're wondering why the MOS has it this way, you might find it useful also to read the Apostrophe article.) Thanks. – Wdchk (talk) 01:44, 27 August 2015 (UTC)
Also, please be sure to provide an edit summary for each edit you make. This allows you to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes, and is very helpful to people browsing an article's history or an editor's contributions. For example, when you go through your contributions to check where you added apostrophes to decades, you would find it a lot easier if you had noted in the edit summary what you had done. Thanks! – Wdchk (talk) 02:49, 27 August 2015 (UTC)

Information icon Welcome to Misplaced Pages. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, talk pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments, as you did at User talk:MrSean99, is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Even making spelling and grammatical corrections in others' comments is generally frowned upon, as it tends to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you.  Dr Greg  talk  19:54, 27 June 2015 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for July 26

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Misplaced Pages appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Seven News, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Angela (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Misplaced Pages, as you did at HSV (TV station). Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Repeated vandalism can result in the loss of editing privileges. Thank you.  Dr Greg  talk  18:14, 27 August 2015 (UTC)

Several editors have now reverted your edits that are contrary to Misplaced Pages's Manual of Style (inserting apostrophes into decades such as "1990s"). We have explained the guideline several times, and you are welcome to respond here with any questions you may have. However, your only response so far has been to continue making similar edits. This is now becoming disruptive. Please stop. If you like fixing style problems in articles, that's great, and your constructive edits would be welcomed. There are many, many things that need to be done, that would be in accordance with the MOS, so why waste time making edits that are only going to be reverted? Continuing to edit disruptively will result in your being blocked from editing anyway. – Wdchk (talk) 15:59, 28 August 2015 (UTC)
