Hello, and welcome to Misplaced Pages. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Ira Tiffen requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. A tag has been placed on Ira Tiffen requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". Recent edit to Actinus
Hello, and welcome to Misplaced Pages. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Actinus, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! –Compassionate727 20:09, 15 May 2016 (UTC)

Hi, the sources have not yet got to the required standard. We need to have independent, reliable, substantial sources. So far nearly every source there is connected to the subject. The only reliable independent one is a one liner from Columbia College. There should be a better reference than IMDB for the academy award. We don't count IMDB as reliable as anyone can edit this. - There is no need to delete the text about the Emmy Award, as it is verified. But if you could find an independent source, it would help show notability. It is something that would very likely be published elsewhere (if it is true). At the moment we only have a small amount of text from sources used for WP:N, so the article still may not survive an WP:AFD - delete discussion. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 23:29, 16 May 2016 (UTC)
