An MPC article that doesn't contain the word "hip-hop"? Unbelievable. Especially considering all the synth articles that mention famous uses and influence. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.193.169.54 (talk) 10:13, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
Agreed. This seriously needs to be remedied, as the MPC is an instrument of significant historical and cultural value. Just as you wouldn't have an article on the electric guitar without talking about rock and roll, any discussion of the MPC that does not include its use in hip-hop is ultimately no more than a list of technical specifications. Again, this device has had an extremely significant role in one of the world's dominant musical forms, and it is criminal oversight to neglect that. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.81.137.132 (talk) 06:57, 18 May 2009 (UTC)

There are some major inacuracys with these entries for example in the 1000 mpc article it is refered to a pad fix , this was not a fix it was instead an upgrade to add new functionality. You can also smoke weed.
--- —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.133.104.184 (talk) 10:47, 19 August 2008 (UTC) The Notes section and reference list is in the code for the article but is not appearing in the article. I have tried undoing edits in the history to get it to appear. But i can't get it to appear.
I cut this from the top of the article:
--- note- there is a new mpc-500.. if someone feels free to update this page.. than please.. http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n16/krypticjunglist/mpc500001.jpg --- --Mwongozi 12:01, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
And i cut this:

Could you upload it using this page and fill in the info: http://en.wikipedia.org/Special:Upload If not provide more info like your name (or just say use your username) and how you want it released. Not sure if we should just assume here...
Also a few more shots if you have the time. There is a lot of flash in that photo. If not that one will do fine.
I cleaned up the article a little. At the bottom there was some html and random characters. There is a rather negative tone in the following paragraph:
"The basis for the MPC stems from Roger Linn's early designs, yet has continued as a marketing force after his involvement. Many claim Akai have let the MPC range down by poor service attention, lack of OS updates for popularly requested features and "chasing the field" media formats (i.e. re-releasing the MPC2000XL with a CompactFlash card reader in 2004). Despite this, few sampler/sequencers are as robust; and the MPCs' features still demand respect."
Should this be rewritten or removed. At least a source, perhaps a quote from someone.

What about some links to songs/artists using/referencing the MPC series. MHW —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.60.60.34 (talk) 20:14, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
Ren description
The whole section on Ren reads like marketing text by AKAI. It differentiates between Ren & Studio by claiming Studio is a controller, but Ren is a sampler "that uses computers memory and storage". This is misleading, as they are both controllers, using the exact same software in computer. Only difference between Ren and Studio is the form factor and IO. Suva Чего? 05:35, 19 April 2013 (UTC)
