link to Iranian
Hello, when you want to link to the article about something Iranian, please do not link to Iranian, as that is a disambiguation page (which nothing should be linked to). Instead link to the one of the options found on that page such as Iranian people, or Iran, by writing out ] or ]. Regards, Jeff3000 21:02, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
- Nobody put me in charge, but it is Misplaced Pages policy not to link to disambiguation pages. Please see Misplaced Pages:Disambiguation pages with links. From that page "Ideally, Misplaced Pages articles should not link to disambiguation pages (with rare exceptions where the ambiguity of a term is being discussed); instead links should go directly to the appropriate article.". Another important Misplaced Pages policy is assuming good faith. From that page, "Assume that others are trying to help Misplaced Pages rather than harm it, unless there is clear and present evidence to the contrary." - Please be civil. From the wikipedia policy page again, " instead links should go directly to the appropriate article." Disambiguation pages are for searches, links should always go to the apporpriate page. -- Jeff3000 17:45, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
