:God, what is your problem? Both of those images are clearly promotional images released by NBC to advertise their series; using neither of them will harm the sales of the shows they promote. I've seen the Oscar image specificially used in several news articles. Give it a rest. --] 22:12, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
::They are not "''clearly promotional''". Some images like these may not be intended for widespread distribution. As a rule of thumb, always read the "Terms of Use" and "Copyright Notice" in the site you're grabbing images from.--] 22:20, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

:Gee, and I always thought Misplaced Pages was non-commercial.

::Removing unproperly tagged images which we may be using illegally or at least not in accordance with policy is an important service and I commend Abu Badali of being a key part of keeping wikipedia ] and legally compliant. If you don't understand the reason this is important, I suggest you read our policies etc and in the mean time refrain from adding any work you did not create yourself from scratch as you appear to lack an understanding of the importance of respecting copyright on wikipedia. ] 16:08, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
:::No, it's true. Abu has contributed almost nothing of his own; all he does is tear down the work of others.
:::Furthermore, the idea of NBC suing Misplaced Pages, a non-commercial encylopedia, over their promotional images being used in articles for their shows is absolutely ridiculous. Also, I'd assume they would prefer decent, official images to represent their materials, as opposed to 'crappy-yet-free' images like ] and ]. --] 19:11, 30 September 2006 (UTC)

** '''Some help needed here'''. The {{tl|imagevio}} tags for these images are being removed and the source info are being changed to pointo to the website , which seems to be part of http://nbcumv.com/, a NBC's site for distributing images for "editorial purpose". The of this site explains that you need to be fill up "''registration form and obtain a '''password''' ''" for using it's materials solely on your own website (you can't pass this permission to others). Also, this registrations is "''subject to NBC Universal's further approval''". I'm not sure what's exacly needed here. Did the uploaded has an aproved registration on this site? And if so, can he mention Misplaced Pages as "his site" on the registration? Note that these images are being used to illustrate articles on a tv-series fictional characters, and {{tl|tv-screenshot}}s could have been doing this task even better (as they have implicity and 100% verifiable source info). --] 00:58, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
***I just noticed you can't really dowload these images from this site without a password. This is not a valid source at all. --] 17:09, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
