Don't see the relevance of his friendship with Bill Hicks? I'm sure there are plenty of celebrities who have friendships with others, but is it relevant to their profile? Though in this case where the deceased has far greater status than the subject, perhaps such name dropping and fawning of Hicks allows Hughes the opportunity to ride on his coattails? Some compensation perhaps for a career that stalled over a decade ago. — Preceding ] comment added by ] (]) 10:54, 26 September 2012 (UTC)
Indeed! If it were such a fantastic friendship one would think it might be mentioned on Hickses' page also, which it is not. To laud Hicks as a genius and then claim close association comes across as an attempt by Hughes to nudge his way into someone elses spotlight. "If my best friend is a genius, then what does that say about me?". Though we could be doing Hughes a disservice? Perhaps he and Hicks were such great friends that Hicks left him his coattails in his will? — Preceding ] comment added by ] (]) 15:24, 1 October 2012 (UTC)
