I noted that you mentioned wanting to establish consensus on the talk page for Donald Trump’s lead wording. It’s already established and found here: ]. The lead wording is item 17 on the list right now. Thanks. ] (]) 11:27, 27 March 2018 (UTC) | |||
Even without that consensus item, the ArbCom remedies shown at the top of the article's talk page state: "All editors must obtain consensus on the talk page of this article before reinstating any edits that have been challenged (via reversion)". You violated that with . Since ] are in effect at that article, any admin can apply sanctions at will.<br />Even without those remedies, the first revert is standard ] process (the R stands for revert), so your statement "Go seek consensus in the talkpage before you unilaterally revert" was incorrect. The nutshell at ] states: "If your edit gets reverted, do not revert again. Instead, begin a discussion with the person who reverted your change to establish consensus."<br />Any way you look at it, the onus was on you to start a discussion, not anybody else. ―] ] 21:35, 28 March 2018 (UTC) |
