The term Neo-Confederate is often employed to describe movements that seek to reconstitute the Confederate States of America. Neo-confederate groups are pro-South and pro-states' rights, and some are accused of promoting bigotry or segregation.
The term "Neo-Confederate" is also employed by some as a pejorative description, or slur, for those that take a southern perspective.
