Utpal Shanghvi Global School (USGS) is a private school in J.V.P.D Scheme, Juhu, Mumbai, India. It is attended by the children of some celebrities, business magnates, and politicians. The school follows the SSC state board syllabus and the Cambridge University certified IGCSE syllabus. It was the first school in India to receive the ISO 9001:2000 certificate. The former principal of the school Abha Dharampal (now CEO) had won the Best Teacher award from the former president of India, A. P. J. Abdul Kalam. The school was established in 1982. It accommodates an average of 30-40 students per classroom in the primary and secondary section. The school celebrated its silver jubilee in the year 2007. Foundation
The Juhu Vile Parle Development Co-operative Housing Association formed the Juhu Parle Education Society and established an English medium school, on Plot No. 7, A-12-3, East West Road No. 3 in JVPD Scheme, Vile Parle West, Mumbai.
Utpal Shanghvi Global School began on 8 June 1982, as Utpal Shanghvi School with pre-primary and primary divisions. In June 1983, the secondary section began. The school is non-denominational and co-educational. It began its IGCSE section in 2005, after which it has consistently been able to get honoured by the International School Award, by the Cambridge.
Initiatives taken
- Each class of USGS and stream of PPSIJC is prepared for the "field visit" with the help of prior research, quizzes, handouts and class discussions. On returning they file project reports. It is an additional mode of learning through experiencing.
- USGS educational trips promote learning with enjoyment. A lot of preparation goes into identifying the destinations for the educational tours which are organized for grades 4 to 10. They are designed to enrich classroom education with additional experiences of life. It is learning beyond the classroom.
- Utpal Shanghvi Global School organizes yearly picnics for students of each level. These are fun trips for interaction, entertainment, togetherness, bonding and understanding. The students get to know one another and teachers get to know their students out of the class context.
Promotion of extra-curricular activities
- The soft skills programme (SSP) develops in the students the knowledge and skills which can help them serve their community better. This is done in a fun-filled, interactive manner to foster personal communication skills, time management, values, traits like respect and empathy, work efficiency. "Who will I be?" is what the students become self-assured about.
- USGS offers an array of performing arts, which include dance, drama, music, work experience and art.
- USGS promotes sports, like table tennis, cricket, football,skating,athletics and more.
- There are a wide range of competitions to inculcate essential skills for life.
Annual day: "Blitzing"
Known as the famous showcase of extraordinary talent, USGS hosts its annual day in a very prosperous and celebrative way, naming it the Blitzing. The proud USGSites display their talent in an innovative way, on the school's playground. This enhances the school's ability to produce entrepreneurs and all-rounders.

- Martial arts students won the Overall Championship Trophy at the Asian Martial Arts Championship in 2012, Singapore.
- The school has introduced AS and A level courses to its IGCSE students in the name of "Prabhavati Padamshi Soni International Junior College", which has produced world toppers and India toppers.
