Chriscf, what problem do you have with the article? It's not the only sports event in 2009 with an article.

WP:NOT#CBALL and WP:INN already say all there is to say about this. As I said, if there was any actual content in this article, I might see things differently. My problem is not with the existence of the article, it's with the existence of articles on far-future events right now. Why do we need an article on the 2011 event right now?
