Johnny Harris is an American filmmaker and journalist, currently based in Washington, D.C. Harris produced and hosted the "Borders" series for Vox.
Early life and education
Harris was raised in a Mormon family. He and his wife, Iz Harris, have since rejected Mormonism.
He holds a BA in international relations from Brigham Young University and an MA in international peace and conflict resolution from American University.
Career
Borders
Borders is a documentary short film series that profiled sociopolitical issues in various borders around the world. It ran from 2017 to 2020.
YouTube career
Harris' YouTube channel was set up in June 2011. As of January 2021, Harris has over 704,000 subscribers.

In early 2020, he and his wife Iz Harris launched a company about online travel courses.
Personal life
Harris and his wife, Iz, have two boys, Oliver and Henry. Henry is autistic.
