Tolulope Yeboah (née Olumide; born in Toronto), known professionally as TolumiDE, is a Nigerian-Canadian singer-songwriter. Former member of Black Canadian band Women Ah run Tings, which combined dancehall, reggae, R&B, and hip-hop, she has opened for Les Nubians, Toby Foyeh, and Orchestra Africa and headlined at Legendary Blues Alley where. TolumiDE's solo albums are My Love (tk) and Mama Sunshine (tk). She has also appeared on BET International.

Early life and career

Born in Toronto, Canada, to Nigerian couple Olufolahan and Adeyinka Olumide, Tolumide Olumide was raised in Lagos, Nigeria. After completing secondary school at Atlantic Hall in Ikeja, the capital of Lagos State, Olumide moved to back to Canada, studying Fine Art at York University and sang with an all-female reggae band. She was part of what eventually became the all-female dancehall/reggae/R&B/hip-hop band Women Ah run Tings, which were nominated for a Canadian Reggae Award multiple times.

Solo career

Shortly after moving to the United States to pursue a career in graphic design, Olumide created her stage name, TolumiDE (pronounced Toe–lu-mee-day) which played with a combination of her first name with her last. Word of mouth about her solo performances percolated at open mics, weddings, and other festivals, and TolumiDE quickly garnered a following for her vocal presence and songwriting skills which fused soul music with Nigerian culture, exploring themes of life, love, laughter and inspiration with mainly English lyrics and a touch of rhythm and her native Yorùbá language.

Her debut solo album My Love was critically praised. Her recent release Mama Sunshine promises brighter days, delving into themes of love, self-assurance, nostalgia, and overcoming challenges. Influenced by R&B soul, gospel, jazz and reggae, TolumiDE has opened for Les Nubians, Toby Foyeh and Orchestra Africa and headlined at Blues Alley in Washington D.C. and performed at international fairs like Cherry Blossom Festival, FestAfrica in 2017, MusikFest, 202 Creates, and Visual Collaborative.
