:I warned you about adding fringe theories to Misplaced Pages without providing reliable sources, and that I doubted you could find any source regarded as reliable by the Misplaced Pages community that supported the idea that the Mayan civilization had any connection to prehistoric cultures in Florida, when I responded to your question at the Teahouse, . You had added, without providing any source, that the Mayan civilization was present in Florida in ] , ] , and ] . I won’t say anything else about the Mayans in the southeastern US, but man, you need to learn some respect. You’re not nice, and don’t threaten me with a sanction. Also, that I did that damn edit yesterday not today. ] (]) 00:14, 3 April 2021 (UTC)
::Some advice. "Mayans in Florida" is considered ], because no mainstream academic archaeologists or historians have found evidence for it or support it. If I had seen that edit I would have reverted it. If you add such claims into articles, it had better be well sourced to mainstream academic articles. Not including adequate sources for edits like that violates multiple policies here, including ], ], ], and ]. Adding unsourced fringe material is not considered harmless. If you find sources you believe would work, bring them to an articles talkpage to ask about inclusion, or take the source to ] to ask if the source is reliable enough to be used on Misplaced Pages. The user above did not threaten you, and they were being perfectly respectful. They were informing you what would happen next if you continue with these actions. That's how things work here. Your edits were reverted, you were asked not to keep repeating this behavior. The next step will be to ask for admin intervention. Sanctions include the admins blocking your account from editing, in order to protect the encyclopedia from behavior that is detrimental to the project, like inserting unsourced fringe material.
::Most of us here are very willing to help you out and work with you as you learn how to edit here. Donald Albury is an admin here of longstanding and with an excellent reputation. ::::I did read them. I also read your comments at the teahouse about this situation. I'm trying to help you, so can we please dial it down a notch? Yes, I did listen to what he said and I won’t add anything about the Mayans in the southeastern United States again. And yes, I’m sorry for my choice in words, and getting a bit frustrated. Hello, I'm Donald Albury. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Crystal River Archaeological State Park, List of pre-Columbian cultures, and Maya city have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse. Thanks.Template:Z186 Donald Albury 19:30, 27 March 2021 (UTC)
