Daniel Condren (born 13 April 1995), better known by his online alias RTGame or formerly RTGameCrowd, is an Irish-Canadian video game streamer. He is known for his humorous commentary during gameplay, and often plays games in unorthodox or mischievous ways. He began making videos in 2011, began streaming in 2016, and experienced a surge in popularity in 2018. As of March 2021, his Twitch channel has approximately 990,000 followers, and his YouTube channel 2.5 million.

Career

Joining YouTube

Condren created his YouTube channel on 13 August 2011 and uploaded his first video five days later, a Terraria Let’s Play with his friends Stuart and Zach. In 2012, he started a video series on the game Team Fortress 2, which lasted until 2018.

Japan, variety content

In early 2018, Condren moved to Tokyo, Japan, to pursue a career as an English teacher. However, he decided to skip his job interview in order to focus on his online career. In June, Condren’s YouTube and Twitch channels skyrocketed and he dedicated all of his time to streaming, editing and publishing his YouTube videos. The most notable videos from this time were on the games The Sims 3, Planet Coaster and Cities: Skylines.

Back in Ireland

In late Summer 2018, Condren moved back to Ireland and several weeks later his YouTube channel hit 1 million subscribers.

In December 2018, RTGame joined Yogscast’s annual charity event Jingle Jam, where he helped raise $3.3 million.

Since 2020, RTGame has had a video editor to help with his YouTube channel.

Personal life

Daniel Condren was born on 13 April 1995. His father's side is Irish and his mother's side is Canadian. He has Irish-Canadian dual citizenship.

Education

Condren studied at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland, where he got his bachelor's degree in English. While studying there, he was a part of a gaming society, where he won a Mario Kart tournament and earned the title of “the Drift King”. He is frequently mocked for bragging about this achievement by his fans and content creator friends, being called “the Drift Daddy”.

Health

In 2015 Condren’s lung collapsed and he continues having issues to this day.

Notable acts

  • Minecraft builds – RTGame is known in the Minecraft community for organizing building sessions for his Twitch subscribers.
  • Shiny Wooloo hunt – RTGame spent 13 days searching for a rare colour variant of a pokemon in the game Pokémon Sword and Shield. This act is commonly reffered to as “the Wooloo genocide”
  • “The butcher of Sapienza” – In the game Hitman 3, RTGame decided to knock all NPCs from an entire map unconscious and gather them in one place (a butcher’s shop), in order to kill the entire population with a single shot.
