Connectivity to Surrounding Cities
w
substantial population of Faridabad commutes to either Delhi, Gurgaon or NOIDA on a daily basis for work or higher education.
To Delhi
As far as public transport is concerned- there is a regular EMU (train) service, along with Public Bus service (DTC, Haryana Roadways) available for traveling from Faridabad to Delhi. Though there are plans to extend the Metro project from Delhi to NOIDA, none are in the picture for Faridabad till date.
There are private chartered buses connecting Faridabad to various points in Delhi. A cheap & popular mode of transport that is also used for travel along the NH-2 is the autorickshaw. They are quite old, noisy & very polluting. (Faridabad's air is very polluted and vehicular pollution contributes to a great extent)
There are two possible routes for traveling from Faridabad to New Delhi. One along the NH2, through the congested Badarpur Border. The other through the ridge road next to Surajkund (this route is not open for large commercial vehicles). The latter route is more suitable when traveling to South Delhi. In the recent years, some schools & a higher education institute has been opened on this road.
To Gurgaon
There are two routes from Faridabad to Gurgaon. One through Delhi (Mehrauli-Badarpur Road) and the other, which is a direct access road that passes through the Crusher zone and near the TERI institute. This road used to be very bad, full of pot holes etc, however it has been upgraded in the last year. It is still a hard route to travel due to overloaded dumper trucks and speeding vehicles. There have been many severe accidents recently.
To NOIDA
There is a public Bus Service available from Faridabad to NOIDA.

Zero Development in Faridabad City
I am seeing the city conditions since I was 8 years old there are still many places which have open sivers, dirty water canals between every streets there and now I am 22 still they are open and the people live there with these unhygenic places, sells snacks there for their livelihood. So we can't say it's the growing city There is no zero growth in the city's development, improving the street roads, open gutters. Seems like there are no responsive MLA's who really work for people and try for solving their problems Also there is no clean drinking water available in homes. There are tanker services that provide water by going to every street not their homes. people have to load the water containers on their cycles and have to travel carrying those to their houses. Also, there are no standard medicines available in the city mainly sanjay colony, sector 23. 2409:4050:2D8A:1B96:38FF:B5A4:3CE6:7A2 (talk) 17:00, 13 May 2021 (UTC)Priya Chauhan
