John Birch (Luthier)

Hello, this is Paulkstadden, author of the John Birch Article. It has recently been deleted, and it shows in the log that you are the one who has deleted it. I would like a reason as to why it was deleted. There was nothing undocumented in it, as I have spoken through email with Greg Dorsett, owner of Rock Stars' Guitars, who knew John Birch personally, I have spoken with John Carling, owner of John Birch guitars as well as personal friend to John Birch himself, as well as many others who have allowed me to use their images. I don't know what else I could have referenced in the article. It was deleted with no warning to me, unlike the image deletions. I was planning to re-upload all the images with appropriate copyright tags. I have the rights to use every one of them, as I have received authority to do so from John Carling and the owner of the Glitter guitar. I was not backing up the content of the article onto my hard drive because I believed that I would be notified of any copyright infringement and/or nonsense and would be given time to back the article up. I have already requested an undelete, but if you can shed any light on why this article was deleted, I would appreciate it. I put a lot time and hard work into the research of this article, so I don't want to see it go away. Please email me at paulk@stadden.com.

Thank you, Paulkstadden 18:19, 15 January 2007 (UTC)

It read like a bad advert and had been tagged as such by another user. The article needed a lot of work before it would pass muster as an article. If it can be re-written and the mess of the photograps sorted out then fine - but it needs a lot of work. If you want I can post you the data on a sub page for you to work on to improve it.Brookie :) - a will o' the wisp !

Yes, please, send me the link for that.Paulkstadden 16:16, 16 January 2007 (UTC)

Thank you for reposting the page, I will get to work on it. If you have any suggestions, please give them to me.Paulkstadden 05:21, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

Buckingham Palace Gardens

Dear Brookie - hello and Happy New Year. I'm still taking my City of London Guides course and enjoying it greatly.

Meanwhile, as you are MUCH quicker than me, can I please ask you a favour? I have been editing Buckingham Palace Gardens - there's still lots of work to do. But some changes need to be made.

1. Please can you change the article title to Buckingham Palace Garden . The singular form is correct.

2. Could you then do a redirect from Buckingham Palace Gardens to Buckingham Palace Garden.

3. Could you add to the disambiguation page for "Garden" the new article title Buckingham Palace Garden, pointing out that it is known as "the Garden". Would you also please add the Royal Opera House (I'm not sure if there is a Misplaced Pages article on this, but as you know, it is also universally known as "the Garden").

I have cross-referred to Buckingham Palace Gardens in a number of other articles but once you let me know these changes have been made I will chase up the cross-referrals. Basically, the cross-referrals are in: Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle, Holyrood House, Time Team, Party at the Palace , Prom at the Palace, Children's Party at the Palace , and Golden Jubilee. ALL should be corrected to reflect the correct SINGULAR form, but I can see to this.

Many thanks as usual. Please let me know on MY talk page when you have accomplished steps 1, 2, 3 above. Best wishes. FClef (talk) 01:24, 16 January 2007 (UTC)

Well you're blocked indefinitely, so I don't suppose I'll be seeing much more of you! Have a nice life! Brookie :) - a will o' the wisp ! 15:16, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

Dear Brookie

Dear Brookie,

There's something I've been meaning to say to you. For quite some time. Put quite simply Brookie, I love you. I loved you the moment I first laid eyes on your user page. Since then I've taken quite an interest in your adminship and found your edits simply breathtaking. Your blocking of users turns me on and your IP address makes me horny. The layout of your user talk is extremely efficient and sexy and I simply love your "Will o' The Wisp" slogan. To prove my love for you I will write the phrase I love you 15 times:

I love you I love I love you I love you I love you I love you I love you I love you I love you I love you I love you I love you I love you I love you I love you

and one for luck

I love you

Do you think we would be on for a bit of... you know and frankly...

Will you marry me?

Please respond to arrange a date for the ceremony my honeybox hard drive.

Yours arousedly,

Breathe Reprise 14:12, 17 January 2007 (UTC) xx

Thank you for the sweet message! Brookie :) - a will o' the wisp ! 15:17, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

Excuse me, you have not answered my question. When will we be married. I need to start making arrangements. Breathe Reprise 09:07, 22 January 2007 (UTC)

Your edits to Kent Hovind

You recently made this edit to the Kent Hovind article. Please note that generally, any edit which removes sourced information relevant to the article should be discussed first on that article's talk page. Also, marking such an edit as "minor" and with a summary which simply says "Tidy" might be considered to be a misleading edit summary. Generally, only edit summaries which could not possibly be controversial should be marked as minor, and removals of content should be clearly marked as such in the edit summary. Thank you! Seraphimblade 08:23, 19 January 2007 (UTC)

Don't be silly - I merely added a paragraph break. Brookie :) - a will o' the wisp ! 10:11, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
I think you may be having some browser problems, or something (or I am!) In the diff I'm seeing, the following line is removed:
He has been ordered to forfeit $430,400 and faces a maximum of 288 years in prison.<ref>{{cite news | url= | title=Dr. Dino, wife guilty|publisher=] | date=2006 | first= | last= | accessdate = 2006-11-03}}</ref><ref>{{cite news | url= | title='Dr. Dino' guilty on all counts|publisher=] | date=2006 | first= | last= | accessdate = }}</ref> (ref nowiki'd so it will show here.)
The same was true of the second diff, please let me know what you see here. If it really is showing us two different things, we should probably both get screenshots and put it in as a bug. Seraphimblade 10:20, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
Never mind-I misread. See what I get for editing without coffee. Very sorry about that. Seraphimblade 10:21, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
NO worries - have an expresso on me! Brookie :) - a will o' the wisp ! 14:17, 19 January 2007 (UTC)

(hello, i'm new) about citations

I've only done minor edits so far (not unde my actual account), but I haven't made any major edit because I realise these genrally need citations. But how do i actually list citations in my edit? are they left in comments or where? [I'm only trying small things so far, so just doing some small edits to towns in my local area -and yes, i realise I shouldn't insert any original research) The Mackstar 08:52, 19 January 2007 (UTC)

thank you for the message. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Nshan13 (talkcontribs) 21:55, 19 January 2007 (UTC).

hello

it is user:nshan13

You helped me out before, so . . . . . . . . . . . . ...............

I need some help setting up a Category page. What I'd like to see on wikipedia is Category: Sculptors who exhibited at the 3rd Sculpture International. More and more of the artists who were there are showing up at wikipedia, so there are (opinion) enough to get the category going. Here is a handful of them. Chaim Gross, Pablo Picasso, C. Paul Jennewein, Albert Wein, Adolph Alexander Weinman, Jo Davidson, Milton Horn, Jacques Lipchitz and more. There are 250 in all, though most of those are not in wikipedia . . .... yet. Anyway. I am hoping that you can set this page, or whatever, up for me. Life is good. Carptrash 00:09, 20 January 2007 (UTC)

Sorted ] - I've added Chaim Gross as the first entry - good luck Brookie :) - a will o' the wisp ! 07:48, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for the thumbs-up - I have moved it to my barnstar page! Brookie :) - a will o' the wisp ! 16:48, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
You are so welcome. And checking the Thumbs Up page I see that this was not your first, which is why I came to you. I have a bad head cold- it's being a rough winter here- and am not able to do the thinking part of filling the category yet, but it will happen slowly. Carptrash 16:58, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
Hope the cold gets better soon 17:38, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
I think that I botched my attempt at archiving,(luddite), but there will be others. Thanks for the wonderful bit of sculpture. Yes, it is mostly what I write about. I found your monument in a footnote in Margaret Whinney's, Sculpture in Britian: 1530-1830 and assume that since you did not have the sculptor wikilinked, that there is no article on him. I'll see if I have enough for at least a stub. I finaally got a fire going, so am feeling better, thank-you. Oh yes, it's not sculpture but I got my picture in here recently - check out KLDK - I'm the drummer with the Pathetics. Life is good. Carptrash 18:42, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
