The October 2000 riots is the name given to violent protests by Arab Citizens of Israel at the beginning of the Al Aqsa Intifada. During the riots 13 Arab Citizens of Israel were killed by the Israeli Police. As a result of these riots the Or Commission was established to investigate the causes and police response to the riots.
