Anthony "Tony" Gormley was an Provisional Irish Republican Army member from Galbally, County Tyrone (some sources indicate he was from Cappagh).

He joined the PIRA in 1981 and became a highly active member of the paramilitary group. He was one of eight IRA members and one civilian killed on 8 May 1987 during a pre-planned Special Air Service ambush.

At the time of the ambush Gormley was involved in an attack on a Royal Ulster Constabulary station in Loughgall, County Armagh.
