In July 2021, Microsoft announced it will start selling subscriptions to virtualized Windows desktops as part of a new ''Windows 365'' service in the following month. It is not a standalone version of Microsoft Windows, but a web service that provides access to ] and ] built on top of Azure Virtual Desktop.
