The Republic of Singapore Police Force, as the main agency tasked with maintaining law and order in the city-state, has consistently managed to keep Singapore's crime rate low.

Manpower

As at 31st of March 2004, the total strength of the force stands at 36,786, broken down into the following categories:

  • 8035 Regular Officers
  • 1238 Civilian Officers
  • 4104 Police National Service full-time (PNSF)
  • 22311 Police National Servicemen (PNSmen)
