Exceptions Since the rule is intended to prevent edit warring, reverts which are clearly not such will not breach the rule. Since edit warring is considered harmful, exceptions to the rule will be construed narrowly.

Since reverting in this context means undoing the actions of another editor or editors, reverting your own actions ("self-reverting") will not breach the rule.

Other exceptions to the rule include the following:

Reverting unsourced or poorly sourced controversial material about living persons (see Misplaced Pages:Biographies of living persons)

You violated the three revert rule. A fan site is not considered to be controversial, if the content of the site is not libellous. However, placing libellous statements on wikipedia is. Previous to the block, instead of performing page reverts, you should have discussed the fan site being deleted on the talk page. Real96 07:04, 19 March 2007 (UTC)

Decline reason:

Definitely a 3RR violation over the inclusion of an entry in the filmography section of Shelby Young: , , , . It's an open-and-shut case. — Coredesat 07:09, 19 March 2007 (UTC)

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Welcome!

Hello, 69.132.199.100, and welcome to Misplaced Pages! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Misplaced Pages:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question and then place {{helpme}} after the question on your talk page. Again, welcome!

Please do not remove content from your talk page; other users will utilize this page as a way of seeing past discussion, and removing things can be seen as disruptive if you appear to be trying to hide something. You may wish to consider archiving old discussions; take a look at the move page if you would like to learn more about moving and renaming articles. --Spixels 02:41, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

March 2007

Please do not introduce any form of vandalism to the userpages of other users, as you did to User:Shelbyyoung. Thank you. Real96 02:57, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make any unconstructive edits, please ignore this warning

Warning: Userpage vandalism on User:Shelbyyoung. using TW

March 2007

Please stop. If you continue to vandalise the userpages of other users, as you did to User:Shelbyyoung, you will be blocked. Real96 02:59, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, please ignore this notice

Final warning

I have just noted the comment you posted the other day that you it "would not make you sad" if certain people died. Comments of this nature are unacceptable and must never be repeated. Additionally, your functioning as a single-purpose account and posting repetitive edits of a particular nature to a userpage and related article page are troublesome. Please discontinue these activities or this account may be blocked. Newyorkbrad 03:02, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

Re: edits

I'll take a look at it. If it could be verified then I'd support you. - Penwhale | 03:22, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

It has been established, after considerable effort, that Young was in the film as a voice part (probably dubbing one of the main characters), which is why she's not in the main credits. This anon simply refuses to accept the fact. --Mel Etitis (Talk) 10:29, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

User:Shelbyyoung

This user has been confirmed and confirmed again to be Shelby Young, when you make edits like this you are just plain incorrect. This has been confirmed by both the image and by talking to her agents on the phone. Do not continue to remove this from her page, this has already been explained to you, further acts like this will be seen as vandalism and may result in a block. InBC 14:00, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

Final warning: Personal attack on User Talk:Real96. using TW

March 2007

This is your last warning. If you continue to make personal attacks on other people as you did at User Talk:Real96, you will be blocked for disruption. Comment on content, not on other contributors or people. Real96 03:41, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, please ignore this notice

RFC/USER discussion concerning you (CineWorld)

Hello, CineWorld. Please be aware that a request for comments has been filed concerning your conduct on Misplaced Pages. The RFC entry can be found by your name in this list, and the actual discussion can be found at Misplaced Pages:Requests for comment/CineWorld 1, where you may want to participate. -- Real96 07:37, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

April 2007

This is the only warning you will receive for your disruptive edits. If you vandalize Misplaced Pages again, you will be blocked from editing. MER-C 12:13, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

Removing Warnings

Hi there - just to let you know that you aren't allowed to remove warning notices from your talk page. If this is a shared IP and the warnings weren't for you - don't panic. You need to leave them there as otherwise people may have to go trawling through your history in future and it's a pain. Thanks ...adam... 12:16, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

Adam has explained why I reverted your talk page. Peter McGinley 12:19, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
Your IP address has a history of vandalism and removing those warnings through blanking is trying to cover up your past. — Peter McGinley 12:23, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
Hi again - you aren't allowed to remove warnings and you don't own your user space, much as I don't own mine and I'm sure Jimbo will tell you the same thing - you can archive warnings if you feel like your page is getting too cluttered with them. I use WerdnaBot to archive my converstations, it does it for you. Hope that is help to you ...adam... 12:24, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
No one owns anything here - and the warnings serve a purpose for the community as a whole. That is what is important here. And my edits aren't called vandalism because they aren't vandalism, whilst yours are labeled as vandalism because they are vandalism - it's a pretty simple system. ...adam... 12:33, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
Under WP:UP it IS permisable to remove good faith warnings from your own talk page. (though strongly discouraged) This does not specifically apply to IP talk pages, however I have never seen the official policy or guidline that prohibits the removal. Many seem to feel there should be one, but there is not a consensus. -- Monty845 19:49, 17 April 2007 (UTC)

FINAL WARNING

If you do not stop blanking other users' talk pages, you will be blocked from editing Misplaced Pages. — Peter McGinley 12:20, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

Your repeated efforts to vandalize articles and violations of our official Misplaced Pages policy makes it seem that you are unaware that Misplaced Pages is a serious project. You have been reported to the administration group for continuing violations of Misplaced Pages policy and an administrator will review your contributions shortly. You may not receive another warning before being blocked, so be careful and be serious from now on. If you are blocked, please reconsider your behavior once the block expires. TeckWizBot 12:58, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
You have been blocked from editing for a short time in accordance with Misplaced Pages's blocking policy for repeated abuse of editing privileges. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make constructive contributions. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below.

Request reason:

its MY TALK PAGE . HELLO CAN YOU NOT SEE THAT. I AM SHELBY YOUNG AND I WANT MY NAME OFF THIS WEBSITE AND PER JIM WALES I CAN REMOVE BOTH THE IP ADDRESS AND MY TALK PAGE SO GTFO. Blocking me won't do anything but make me call Jim. I suggest you read his talk page.

Sick of pervert child molestors stalking me around wikipedia.

Decline reason:

You will need to prove you are Shelby Young, especially since an existing user has confirmed being her through her agent. — InBC 13:23, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Question

One question has to be asked in this whole argument - if you are indeed Shelby Young and want your name removed off Misplaced Pages (which is fine), then why not just log into your account (User:Shelbyyoung) and perform the edits using it, instead of anonymously and unverifiably using this IP address? I am sorry, but we cannot verify your identity when you are using an IP address. We don't know if you are who you say your are.
Peter McGinley 12:56, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

Besides, registered users are allowed leeway in maintaining their talk pages, but I don't think anonymous users should be given that same leeway, especially during current activity. Stale IP warnings can be removed, but if one wishes to have more leeway, one only need register. Leebo /C 13:27, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
Yes, and if the user is already registered (Shelby Young has been confirmed to have the account Shelbyyoung), then making edits using an IP address makes their claims to be the person in question highly doubtful. The real person would simply log into their account and make the edits.

Peter McGinley 00:42, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

Um, pardon, but, isn't this anon user also CineWorld? The evidence is clear, although he seems to be speaking better English now. Shouldn't a longer block be appropriate? Ispy1981 04:40, 15 April 2007 (UTC)
