Alcatraz-Red Power Movement (1969-1978)

Series of Collective actions, between November 20 1969 and the Longest Walk in 1978, which resulted in seventy property takeovers.

Goals: to secure redress for political, cultural, and economic disadvantages which mirrored a long history of Indian poverty not only on reservations but in urban environments, too.
