hello! i was wondering why you proposed deletion of the guardians dbc page? the reason you put was "non-notable" and "no evidence of success in national compettion" and yes thats how you spelled competition, if we're going off of notoriety and success you'd have to also remove dozens of other open and world class ensembles. I see no reason the Guardians pages shouldnt be present, thank you kindly. ] (]) 16:46, 11 December 2021 (UTC) | hello! i was wondering why you proposed deletion of the guardians dbc page? the reason you put was "non-notable" and "no evidence of success in national compettion" and yes thats how you spelled competition, if we're going off of notoriety and success you'd have to also remove dozens of other open and world class ensembles. Use of “ethnic cleansing”
I am very concerned by the use of “ethnic cleansing” in the context of language. This is the term that was used specifically during the wars that resulted in the breakup of what was once the country of Yugoslavia. Ethnic cleansing specifically referred to the KILLING and attempt to KILL off an entire ethnic group.
I personally know people who literally lost their entire family due to ethnic cleansing. Using this term to indicate a language issue is beyond offensive. It is sanitizing again the deaths of many innocent people. 2600:1700:B2D:1810:A5A7:17EA:92A2:9D3D (talk) 13:16, 29 November 2021 (UTC)
International Society for Philosophical Enquiry
Thanks for your closure. Do you think this should maybe get salted, since it's being repeatedly recreated? JBchrch talk 04:44, 2 December 2021 (UTC)
- @JBchrch: Hi, it feels like it may be a little early for that. It was technically recreated only once. Bgrus22 created the page as a cross-namespace redirect in 2020 for some reason, so only Elingolin's 2021 version would count as a recreation. ✗plicit 06:41, 2 December 2021 (UTC)
Miss Myanmar
Hi, Explicit. AungKaung932 (talk · tag · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log · CA · CheckUser(log) · investigate · cuwiki) has returned to the various Miss Myanmar pages again. It might be time for an indefinite block, given that they've been blocked for exactly the same behaviour and are probably evading the block you placed on 202.165.87.75 (talk · tag · contribs · filter log · WHOIS · RBLs · proxy check · block user · block log · cross-wiki contribs · CheckUser (log)). Sdrqaz (talk) 10:40, 4 December 2021 (UTC)
- @Sdrqaz: Hi, I have blocked AungKaung932 indefinitely. Given that this user was able to make edits despite that IP being blocked, it may signify that their IP address is dynamic. I'll leave the Miss Myanmar pages alone for now, but please free to notify or ping me if the articles are restored once again so I can protect them from editing. ✗plicit 11:16, 4 December 2021 (UTC)

your deletion
- please explain your deletion of a talk page. Loew Galitz (talk) 19:43, 5 December 2021 (UTC)
- @Loew Galitz: Hi, as the deletion summary suggests, promotion. It was created by 84.68.137.66 (talk · contribs · WHOIS), who was being disruptive and was blocked for 60 hours by another administrator. There were no other edits to the talk page. ✗plicit 23:41, 5 December 2021 (UTC)
Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/Croatia–Mongolia relations (4th nomination)
What sort of more thorough discussion can we have there? I'm trying not to be impatient here, but it's been decades now :) we have three people saying delete, and one person commenting that they're curious if there is significant coverage (and then me saying yet again that there isn't). What else needs to be said or done to resolve this? --Joy (talk) 09:57, 6 December 2021 (UTC)
- @Joy: Hi, I relisted the discussion because I didn't see a strong enough consensus to delete the page, especially given its history. It has survived AFD three times prior, two of which you were the nominator. Unlike other international relations which I have deleted even as "soft delete" due to low participation, this one in particular has proven to be contentious and would benefit from additional participation. Plus, I felt that the other half of Mhawk10's comment had some merit due to the language barrier with Mongolian. The debate will likely close as "delete" if additional sources are not forthcoming. ✗plicit 11:56, 6 December 2021 (UTC)
- Yeah, I think if we haven't received input from Mongolian users about the topic in this much time, it's doubtful we'll get it now. (Probably because nobody even knows about such a fringe matter.) --Joy (talk) 12:20, 6 December 2021 (UTC)
Deleted user and articles
Sir, your deletion of this user
https://en.wikipedia.org/search/?title=Special:Log&logid=123187304
Caused the removal of their UK Nottinghamshire articles
https://en.wikipedia.org/search/?title=Wigthorpe&action=history
https://en.wikipedia.org/search/?title=Costhorpe&action=history
And it hence shows missing links here
https://en.wikipedia.org/List_of_places_in_Nottinghamshire
Could you provide the content? If they were sensible articles, I'd happily recreate them.
Thanks
--The Equalizer (talk) 17:50, 6 December 2021 (UTC)
- @The Equalizer: Hi, sure thing. Here is the content for Wigthorpe and Costhorpe. These links will expire in a week. ✗plicit 06:42, 7 December 2021 (UTC)
Administrators will no longer be autopatrolled
A recently closed Request for Comment (RFC) reached consensus to remove Autopatrolled from the administrator user group. You may, similarly as with Edit Filter Manager, choose to self-assign this permission to yourself. This will be implemented the week of December 13th, but if you wish to self-assign you may do so now. To find out when the change has gone live or if you have any questions please visit the Administrator's Noticeboard. 20:05, 7 December 2021 (UTC)
Thank you!
Thank you so much, Explicit, for catching all of those many broken redirects and reverting them all to point to the correct pages. I have been waking up too early and I shouldn't edit before I've had my morning coffee. I jumped the gun there. I appreciate you alerting me to my mistake on my talk page so I could revert myself. I also left a message for the page mover suggesting that, in the future, they leave a redirect when they do a page move so that a bot can fix all of those redirects so they point to the right pages. Thanks again! Liz 22:59, 7 December 2021 (UTC)
- @Liz: With the amount of pages affected and 99% of them having eventual targets, those broke redirects had to be inspected with extra care. Many of them had backlinks and the page history showed that reverting to the previous revision would have taken care of the matter. Please make sure to check these the next time a huge batch shows up.
- I appreciate you taking accountability for those mistaken deletions here on my talk page, but shifting the blame onto AnomieBOT III in your message to Polyamorph is odd. AB3 only deletes broken redirects with one revision. Those with more are listed at User:AnomieBOT III/Broken redirects for human review. Had those redirects been deleted, the deleting administrator would have been responsible for those actions. ✗plicit 02:52, 8 December 2021 (UTC)
- Thank you Explicit, in reverting the disruptive page moves I did not consider broken redirects when I should have. I will be sure to do so in the future. Thank you for your assistance in this matter. Polyamorph (talk) 04:49, 8 December 2021 (UTC)
Unused non-free file
File:BaltimoreColts4753.png was only unused because of vandalism at Baltimore Colts (1947–1950). Could you please un-delete it, if that's a thing? - Sumanuil (talk) 01:56, 8 December 2021 (UTC)
- @Sumanuil: Done, file restored. ✗plicit 02:52, 8 December 2021 (UTC)
