Lacks WP:IRS as all sources are official government-sanctioned PRC media, with no sign of notability in english language. Jtbobwaysf (talk) 21:19, 23 December 2021 (UTC)

- Keep Per the claims made in the nom statement, this would mean anything Chinese without international notability should be deleted. This is clearly a ridiculous standard. As per WP:NONENG non-English sources can be used for WP:GNG, and using the government website to source the case counts of the region it serves is completely normal. But here are several English sources about the COVID situation in Henan that I found on a quick Google News search:

- Comment. It isn’t clear to me whether this nomination is based on official Chinese sources not being reliable or on disputed notability. I don’t see how notability is in doubt; there might be some concerns about verifiability based on official media but not enough to warrant deletion of an entire article IMV. - Keep - This feels like a WP:POINTY nomination... the notability is pretty obvious, and non-english sources are allowed. Fieari (talk) 00:02, 24 December 2021 (UTC)

- Keep If both Radio Free Asia and Chinese State Media are covering it, I don't really think there is an issue with potentially inflated notability by the Chinese Government or the American Government. snood1205 01:15, 24 December 2021 (UTC)
- Keep per User:Jumpytoo. Sources do not need to be in English. —Mx. Granger (talk · contribs) 06:39, 24 December 2021 (UTC)
