About Chris Griswold

Chris Griswold was born and grew up in Franklin, Pennsylvania. He has also lived in Pittsburgh and New York City, where he studied and performed at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre and worked at Jim Hanley's Universe.

Griswold earned a Bachelor's Degree in English writing from the University of Pittsburgh, as well as a film certificate and a minor in German. At Pitt, Griswold was a squadleader in the University of Pittsburgh Varsity Marching Band; a sister of Tau Beta Sigma service sorority (ITB); and a member of Quo Vadis, which gives tours of the historic Cathedral of Learning. Griswold was active with The Pitt News as a copy reader, columnist, reporter and reviewer, holding editorial positions in the Opinions and News sections. At Pitt, Griswold attended Friday Nite Improvs, Pittsburgh's legendary cult improv show.
