Caddo Parish Magnet High School, or simply "Magnet" as it is known in by its students, is located in Shreveport, Louisiana at 1601 Viking Drive. Its motto is "In our hands we hold today; in our minds we hold tomorrow." Its goal is stated "To share what we know, what we have, and what we are with others." The school colors are gold and red, while the mascot is a mustang. The principal is Mary Rounds. The assistant principals include Bryan Gallant (discipline), Queen Synder and June Moore (both curriculum and instruction). Caddo Magnet consistentally has the most students recognized by the National Merit Program in the Northwestern Louisiana area.

Caddo Magnet has been Sweepstakes Winner at the Region I Science and Engineering Fair for the past 11 years.

Caddo Magnet High School has been Sweepstakes Winner at the Northwest Louisiana Literary Rally for over seventeen years and has several state winners each year.

For the past twenty years, they have been Academic Decathlon champions ranking in the top 12 annually. Students have traveled to Los Angeles, CA; Anchorage, Alaska; Phoenix, AZ; and Erie, PA.

Their Debate team has won numerous state and national awards, competed in over 12,000 debates, received over 1250 trophies and more than 200 sweepstakes awards at tournaments all over the United States.

The Quiz Bowl team competes in invitational tournaments in Texas, Arkansas, Georgia, South Carolina, and Connecticut and remains the undefeated Cajun Quiz Bowl champions.

Magnet's orchestra students have received a Superior rating at the LMEA Festival for the past 23 years. Having earned an international reputation, the group has performed in concert halls in Rome and Florence, Italy.

The JROTC program has been recognized as an Honor Unit with Distinction for fourteen consecutive years.
