:I actually removed redundant categories using cat-a-lot properly. This time I used the tool right. Take for example . Category:Norwegian monarchs is not necessary if an article is under the "21st-century Norwegian monarchs" category, which is included in the general category of Norwegian monarchs. Even if it is "included in the general category" what damage does it do that a Norwegian Monarch page has a link to the Norwegian Monarchs category? :::It's not so difficult to understand. ''21st-century Norwegian monarchs'' is a category inside the category on ''Norwegian monarchs'' in general. With cat-a-lot we can remove redundant categories like the latter from each single article without wasting time by doing it manually one for one. The same goes for 13th-century Norwegian monarchs, 12th-century, etc. As far as edit summaries, the tool doesn't allow me to add them, since it's automatic. Even if it is in multiple categories that are linked to each other, it's not like it really matters.
