Evolution: the Hits is a greatest hits package released by British synthpop band Dead or Alive. Evolution is the band's second hits collection, after 1987's Rip It Up. This collection spans their history since 1984 and contains all their single releases, as well as several remixes, both old and new.

The U.S. version of Evolution contained one disc and eighteen tracks (including still more versions of Dead or Alive's most successful single "You Spin Me Round"). European and Japanese versions of this collection had two discs and contained many more tracks.

The Performance Mix (usually incorrectly referred to as the Murder Mix) of "You Spin Me Round" was re-released as a single to promote Evolution.
