Jang Mun-ik (Korean: 장문익, born March 20, 2001), also known by the mononym Munik (Korean: 문익), is a South Korean singer and actor under Dongyo Entertainment. He is a member of the South Korean boy group DKZ.
Early life
Jang Mun-ik was born on March 20, 2001, in Busan, South Korea. Since he was young, Munik has been practicing kendo and even received certification.
Musical career
2018–2021: DONGKIZ
Before his official debut with Dongkiz, Munik had been actively promoting in and out of Korea.
On April 24, 2019, Munik officially debuted with the release of their single album, Dongkiz on the Block. In an interview, Munik mentioned BTS as an artist he respects the most.
Munik and Jaechan formed the sub-group Dongkiz I:Kan on July 7, 2020. They later debuted with their song "Y.O.U.".
On August 24, 2021, on the group's social media it was announced that Munik would be taking a break from activities due to health reasons.
2022–present: DKZ
On March 18, 2022, the group re-branded to DKZ while Munik remained on hiatus.
