- 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine
  - Battle of Donbas
    - At least twelve civilians are killed and 25 others are wounded in heavy Russian shelling in Donetsk Oblast, according to a report by Governor Pavlo Kyrylenko. (AP) (VOA)
  - A security guard is killed at the National University of Kharkiv, in Kharkiv, when a Russian missile hits the building. (ABC News)
  - The Russian Defence Ministry says its forces have destroyed two U.S.-made M142 HIMARS rocket systems and their ammunition depots in Eastern Ukraine after launching airstrikes. Ukraine rejects the claim. (Reuters)
