:Why am I blocked? I did not engage in Edit warring. That person Sariel Xilo kept erasing the information I put on Greg Rucka's article even though I provided at least TEN different reference sources to back up my addition to the article. This person has no right to keep deleting material that is sourced with so many references, or does she? I submitted multiple references and she kept deleting anything I added to the article randomly. Isn't it obvious this woman has a personal interest in protecting Greg Rucka's article from any unwanted information that gets added, even if it's 100% true and accurate? Would you please look into her personal connection to Greg Rucka? She shouldn't be able to delete factual information that is sourced with so many references. That is censorship and collusion of the worst kind. Thanks for your consideration. ] (]) 20:29, 19 July 2022 (UTC)

Information icon Welcome to Misplaced Pages, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Claudio Fragasso, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you.. If you are adding sources, please try and follow the format that is used on the page. Adding bare urls as you did with the AllMovie links is not useful for wikipedia. I would suggest reading and experimenting with template:cite web on your sandbox page.Andrzejbanas (talk) 22:40, 8 May 2020 (UTC)

I'm sorry, but the source I found said there were 3 directors on Interzone, which would make them all co-directors. Also regarding bare urls, I went to the infolink you sent me and it says "There is nothing wrong with adding bare URL references to Misplaced Pages. If you only have time and inclination to copy the reference URL you found, we thank you for your contribution!" Are you sure you sent me to the right spot?FrankensteinsDad (talk) 14:39, 9 May 2020 (UTC)

Its not inherently wrong if you only have time, but after you made the edits with bare-URLs, you went on shortly after to make more edits. So I don't think time was a factor. I would still suggest learning how to cite properly. Andrzejbanas (talk) 10:59, 11 May 2020 (UTC)

ArbCom 2021 Elections voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2021 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 6 December 2021. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Misplaced Pages arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2021 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:58, 23 November 2021 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for April 16

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Alfonso Brescia, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page War of the Robots. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:10, 16 April 2022 (UTC)

Information icon Thank you for contributing to the article Greg Rucka. However, please do not use unreliable sources such as blogs, your own website, websites and publications with a poor reputation for checking the facts or with no editorial oversight, expressing views that are widely acknowledged as extremist, that are promotional in nature, or that rely heavily on rumors and personal opinions, as one of Misplaced Pages's core policies is that contributions must be verifiable through reliable sources, preferably using inline citations. If you require further assistance, please look at Help:Contents/Editing Misplaced Pages, or ask at the Teahouse. For additional information, please see WP:GUNREL & WP:NYPOST . Sariel Xilo (talk) 18:54, 12 July 2022 (UTC)

If you look at the page you sent me to, it says "There is consensus that The New York Times is generally reliable... The 2018 RfC cites WP:MEDPOP to establish that popular press sources such as The New York Times should generally not be used to support medical claims." The news item I took from the Times has nothing to do with a medical claim. It is simply a report of Rucka's son getting arrested in NYC for committing vandalism and is 100% accurate. If you don't believe the story is true, please ask Mr. Rucka, and I'm sure he will corroborate it.

Your source is: https://nypost.com/2020/09/06/comic-book-artists-son-arrested-in-blm-rampage-in-nyc/ which is the NY Post and not the New York Times.
  • The WP:NYPOST guidance states: There is consensus that the New York Post is generally unreliable for factual reporting especially with regard to politics, particularly New York City politics. A tabloid newspaper, editors criticise its lack of concern for fact-checking or corrections, including a number of examples of outright fabrication. Editors consider the New York Post more reliable in the period before it changed ownership in 1976, and particularly unreliable for coverage involving the New York City Police Department.
  • The WP:GUNREL guidance states: Outside exceptional circumstances, the source should normally not be used, and it should never be used for information about a living person. Even in cases where the source may be valid, it is usually better to find a more reliable source instead. If no such source exists, that may suggest that the information is inaccurate.
This is an unreliable source which is why I am reverting your edits. Please do not edit war; if you would like to add this information, please find a reliable source. Sariel Xilo (talk) 01:52, 17 July 2022 (UTC)

Please stop adding unreferenced or poorly referenced biographical content, especially if controversial, to articles or any other Misplaced Pages page, as you did at Greg Rucka. Content of this nature could be regarded as defamatory and is in violation of Misplaced Pages policy. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Misplaced Pages. Sariel Xilo (talk) 22:16, 17 July 2022 (UTC)

I listed at least ten reference sources. You are the one engaging in an editing war. You are vandalizing my sourced additions and you have no right to do it. If you took the time to check the story, you'll see it is 100% true, and you have no right to keep removing my statements as they are sourced and referenced. If you persist in vandalising the sites, I will report you to wikipedia. FrankensteinsDad (talk) 22:33, 17 July 2022 (UTC)
Per WP:RSP the new york post is an unreliable source, any unsouced information will be challegened and removed Per WP:RS Chip3004 (talk) 23:17, 17 July 2022 (UTC)
I deleted the NY post and the Sun as references, as you requested. I'm assuming the remaining ten references are suitable? Thanks for your input. Hopefully this will resolve the issue. FrankensteinsDad (talk) 23:38, 17 July 2022 (UTC)
I should probally bring this to your attention that Daily Mail (including Daily Mail UK) is generally Unrelaible and the use of the source is generally prohibited per WP:RSP Chip3004 (talk) 19:09, 18 July 2022 (UTC)
thanks. I'll delete it right away. FrankensteinsDad (talk) 20:00, 18 July 2022 (UTC)
It seems like no conservative newspapers are reliable any more. That's really odd. FrankensteinsDad (talk) 20:01, 18 July 2022 (UTC)

Notice of edit warring noticeboard discussion

Information icon Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Misplaced Pages:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Misplaced Pages's policy on edit warring. The thread is Misplaced Pages:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring#User:FrankensteinsDad reported by User:Sariel Xilo (Result: ). Thank you. Sariel Xilo (talk) 23:07, 17 July 2022 (UTC)

You are the one edit warring, not me. I simply listed a true news report regarding the subject of the article and backed it up with at least ten references. It's not slander if it is true, and it certainly pertains to the article. You keep vandalizing my submissions even though they are sourced. If one or two of the sources are invalid, then tell me and i'll remove them. But all ten sources cannot be wrong. THe story is 100% reliable and is true. Some of the sources even show photographs of Rucka's son's mug shot after he was arrested. With all those sources and photographic evidence, how can none of the reference sources be true? Not possible!
