Antonella Barba is a student at The Catholic University of America and a contestant on the sixth season of American Idol. She is a member of the class of 2008 and studying architecture.
Barba is from Point Pleasant, New Jersey, and she went to high school at Red Bank Catholic High School in nearby Red Bank, New Jersey.
She auditioned with her best friend, Amanda Coluccio, also a CUA student, who was cut in the last round before the Final 24 were chosen. Barba performed on February 21 as the fifth of the top 12 female contestants.
Recently, racy photos of Barba have surfaced on the internet, depicting her making obscene gestures to the camera and sitting on the toilet. Newer photos of her posing in a wet T-Shirt in the fountain of the National World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C. have also surfaced. More photos have surfaced that allegedly show Barba performing a sex act.
