History
In the late 2000s and early 2010s orbital routes began being introduced in Melbourne as an alternative form of public transport to trains which allowed people to get to major areas without needing to go via the city. In April 2010, the green orbital route, 902, was introduced. The route has had SmartBus status since its founding which offers premium features which are only avaliable on other smart bus routes.
Since 31 January 2022, this route has been operated by bus operator Kinetic Melbourne.

Route 902 travels from Chelsea to Airport West travelling around the city serving several shopping centres and railway stations. The current route travels via Springvale Station , Glen Waverley station, Nunawading station, Westfield Doncaster, Eltham station, Greensborough Plaza, Campbellfield, Broadmeadows station & Gladstone Park.
