Nomination of Desktop Linux Summit for deletion

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Desktop Linux Summit is suitable for inclusion in Misplaced Pages according to Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/Desktop Linux Summit until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article until the discussion has finished.

Your e-mail

Sorry to be slow in responding. I've been out of contact the past 36 hours but I'm back now and will try and figure it out ASAP. Deb (talk) 15:43, 11 October 2022 (UTC)

Oh, no problem. After this long, it's hardly a pressing issue. Thanks! SarekOfVulcan (talk) 16:05, 11 October 2022 (UTC)
Made a few changes to wording, but this isn't really my area of expertise. Deb (talk) 16:08, 11 October 2022 (UTC)

I was going to block them as NOTHERE for but I guess I'll wait to see if they do it again. Given their talk page comments I think they will, they seem to be here with an agenda. Doug Weller talk 13:43, 14 October 2022 (UTC)

I agree. We'll see what happens tomorrow, I guess. --SarekOfVulcan (talk) 14:22, 14 October 2022 (UTC)
Look at their more recent posts. "Hehehe I will keep doing it :) You are the problem. Anfernee01 (talk) 3:37 pm, Today (UTC+1)" in reply to me warning them against doing it again. And "It seems English is not your first language, so I will make this easy for your small mind... perma-ban me. I would rather be completely blocked than be associated with you incel moderators. Enjoy! Anfernee01 (talk) 4:33 pm, Today (UTC+1)" And in reply to you "It was there multiple times. You banned me though so I refuse to further support this hive-mind group of incels. Amazing how adjusting era styles bothers these incel moderators at wikipedia so much. What a great open source platform. There is definitely no corruption that goes on here. Good faith actors run this. Anfernee01 (talk) 4:00 pm, Today (UTC+1)"
SlaterSteven thinks a range block is needed also, not sure why. Doug Weller talk 16:30, 14 October 2022 (UTC)
Yes, I saw those posts, thanks. I'm sure someone will take care of things in a timely manner. --SarekOfVulcan (talk) 16:31, 14 October 2022 (UTC)

Hello

G'day, I have some concern about my report, which you had to clerk a bit (I removed those refs if you can recall and you reverted), but now I had curious situation where editor came from our lively dispute at AfD to lodge what is practically a request for boomerang because I incompetently filed a report in, as they alleging, wrong venue (they made few other claims against me, incompetence in handling the sources, etc. without properly substantiating them, but those aren't important for now). Now, although I was a little bit reluctant about the main AN, my report was actually moved there on another editor's advice and communication from this AN/OR report, but maybe most importantly you seemed OK with it being filed there when you clerked those removed refs back. Have I really made such a terrible mistake by choosing that venue? Thank you in advance. ౪ Santa ౪ 14:43, 15 October 2022 (UTC)
