2022 Minnesota Senate election moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, 2022 Minnesota Senate election, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Misplaced Pages). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Misplaced Pages's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. — Amkgp 💬 18:54, 8 March 2021 (UTC)

Your draft article, Draft:2016 California Republican presidential primary

Hello, Augusthorsesdroppings10. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "2016 California Republican presidential primary".

In accordance with our policy that Misplaced Pages is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been deleted. If you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Misplaced Pages, and happy editing. Liz 06:08, 19 July 2021 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for December 11

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited The Piece of String, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page English. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 05:56, 11 December 2021 (UTC)

Hampton Roads

With this edit at Hampton Roads, you changed the population of the "urban area" to 1,439,666. What was your source? Thank you. Magnolia677 (talk) 00:18, 14 January 2022 (UTC)

I've looked into the urban area thing, and not only can I not find urban area populations for the 2020 Census (only from 2010), I cannot exactly understand how this is any different from a metropolitan statistical area. As for the MSA populations for 2020, here is my source, which is the source for this page: https://www.census.gov/library/visualizations/interactive/2020-population-and-housing-state-data.html. I consolidated the MSA and metro area populations because an MSA is the official designation for a metro area and the "metro area" population was unsourced. Also the current population density is too high, it should be about 463.50/sq mi. Augusthorsesdroppings10 21:45, 14 January 2022 (UTC)

Could you please provide a direct link to the source which shows 1,439,666. Thank you. Magnolia677 (talk) 00:00, 15 January 2022 (UTC)

List of United States urban areas says this. But I now know that is an outdated figure, which is why I did not incorporate it when I made my most recent edit to the article. This is the aforementioned article's source: https://www2.census.gov/geo/docs/reference/ua/ua_list_all.txt. Augusthorsesdroppings10 00:15, January 15 2022 (UTC)

Shouldn't it be "more recent" since we are only comparing two (Agnew and Calhoun) whereas if someone else had resigned pre-Agnew, it would be "most recent"?--Wehwalt (talk) 17:50, 7 February 2022 (UTC)

Have you checked Andrews IMDB??? 2600:387:8:F:0:0:0:7F (talk) 02:13, 18 May 2022 (UTC)

O.K., first of all, we don't consider IMDB a reliable source. If you can find a reliable source saying that he is dead, then add it back with a citation for that source, but don't add uncited information or cite IMDB. Your submission at Articles for creation: Hillary Scholten (September 3)

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed! Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Robert McClenon was: This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Misplaced Pages article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Misplaced Pages. The comment the reviewer left was: The subject of this draft BLP is a candidate for political office. As a candidate, they do not satisfy political notability, and so must be evaluated based on general notability. This draft does not speak for itself as to the candidate's general notability, and so will be declined. This draft should only be resubmitted if the body of the draft is expanded to show general notability. (Do not simply add references and resubmit.) You may ask for advice about articles on political candidates at the Teahouse. Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved. Robert McClenon (talk) 19:34, 3 September 2022 (UTC)

Adoption in Slovenia

Thanks for the ref, but the claim is still getting removed. We have your ref that adoption is legal due to the court ruling, but also that the parliamentary bill failed, without anything addressing whether that the failure affects the implementation of the court ruling. (Same for marriage.) Do you have a recent ref that adoption and marriage either are or are not legal in Slovenia? I'll say it here too. Twitter is NOT a reliable source for endorsements. Per Misplaced Pages:Political endorsements, they need a reliable source. About Eric Lynn

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Misplaced Pages. It appears that you tried to give Eric Lynn a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Eric Lynn. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Misplaced Pages has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Misplaced Pages:Requests for history merge. Thank you. AmirŞah 11:22, 16 November 2022 (UTC)

Actually, as you can see here, I made an uncontroversial technical request, fulfilled by User:DrVogel. I don't remember exactly why I didn't just move it, but the reason had something to do with the redirect at Eric Lynn.
I don't do cut-and-paste moves. Augusthorsesdroppings10 (talk) 15:24, 16 November 2022 (UTC)
At the time I didn't know how to deal with redirect moves. Augusthorsesdroppings10 (talk) 15:25, 16 November 2022 (UTC)
