The Ohio State University is one of the largest state universities in the United States, consisting of the main campus which is located in Columbus, Ohio, and branch campuses located in Lima, Mansfield, Marion, and Newark. The Columbus campus is the second largest single campus in the United States (48,003 total enrollment according to the OSU Office of University Relations . The university is noted especially for its linguistics department and education school.
The school's sports teams are called the Buckeyes. They participate in the NCAA's Division I-A and the Big Ten Conference.
