Salthill is a seaside resort situated 3 km to the west of Galway City in the province of Connacht in County Galway, Ireland. There is now continuous urban development between the two places due to the growth of Galway City in recent years.

There is a mile long promenade overlooking the picturesque Galway Bay and a "Golden Mile" of bars, restaurants and hotels. The Promenade is affectionately known as the Prom and a favourite place for a stroll by the sea.
